Dr. Chris Armstrong completed her Bachelor of Science at Simon Fraser University. In 1987, she graduated with distinction, from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, in Saskatoon. Chris joined Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital immediately post graduation to pursue her long time love and goal of practicing general small animal medicine and surgery.
Over the years Dr. Armstrong has developed an interest in veterinary dentistry and has taken additional training in the fields of endodontic (root canal) and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Armstrong (and Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital) has become the principal veterinarian for both the Delta and New Westminster police dogs (Integrated Canine Services). We also happily see several RCMP dogs including a few of their "puppies in training".
Chris's childhood admiration for working breeds of dogs has resulted in owning a number of retrievers, these include "Mica" her current black Labrador and Jessie an Australian Shepherd.
Her curiosity with respect to "exotic cats" has lead Chris to become the caregiver (unlike dogs, cats believe they are never owned by people) to an Egyptian Mau, two Abyssinians and now her current feline friend, Rolex a brown spotted Bengal.
Dr. Armstrong has been a member of the Feline Practitioners Association since 1987.

Right: Dr Armstrong with Rolex and Mica.
